I have been renting a storage unit from Instorage for a few months. It is Christmas time and needed to retrieve the tree, lights and Christmas decorations out of storage. The facility is very clean and very easily accessed. There are dollys to help transport your belongings. The personnel are friendly. The rates are super inexpensive as far as storage places go but the hours of access are limited. Plan you trips wisely and that is not an issue.

Robbed! Instorage Torrance Is Not A Secure building! My unit was robbed! No cameras anywhere inside the storage building, only a few outside. When I arrived on September 15, 2023, the lock on my unit had been replaced with a management lock. I was told by a staff member that on September 1st she found no lock on my unit and placed a gold manager lock on the unit. She said they tried to contact me by telephone but my phone was out of service (not the case), and admitted Instorage did not attempt to contact me by U.S. mail or an email to alert me about the situation. When she unlocked my unit I was shocked to see my valuable items and priceless personal treasures (including two urns containing family members ashes) had all been ransacked or stolen. The staff employee did not seem surprised and immediately told me the security system was recently updated and there may not be any footage to verify the theft. I contacted the police and filed a report.
