Are moving trucks available at your storage facilities?
Many Total Storage Solutions facilities offer truck rental, and some even provide free truck use during your move-in. Once you have identified a specific location, contact the manager for more information.
Can I buy boxes and other packing products directly from a storage facility?
Many of our locations sell a wide variety of boxes, packing supplies and moving materials. Once you have identified a specific location, contact the manager for more information.
What does “on-site manager” mean?
“On-site manager” means that an employee, usually the store manager, lives on the property of a particular storage facility.
Are moving carts available?
Many of our storage facilities are equipped with indoor storage units with interior access. Most hallways will maintain an inventory of push carts that may be used free of charge. If you rent an interior storage unit and need a push cart, please let your store manager know and they will be happy to assist you.
Do you have video cameras?
Most of our storage facilities use video cameras as a security measure. Cameras are generally located at the point of entry and exit, and monitor other areas around the property.
Can anybody drive onto each property or is a PIN number required?
Most Total Storage Solutions facilities utilize an electronic gate system with access that requires a security code that is assigned upon signing your lease. The code allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the storage facility.
What is climate control?
Climate control is a specialized feature for storage units. Our climate controlled spaces maintain a temperature of 55 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This amenity helps protect your stored belongings from extreme temperatures and weather damage.
What is a roll-up door?
Roll-up doors are the most common style of door in self storage. They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward, similar to the motion of a garage door. Roll-up doors allow you to maximize the usage of your space, and aid in easier unloading.
Will I receive a lock when I rent a storage unit?
Locks are available for purchase at most Total Storage Solution rental offices. We recommend purchasing a disc lock to ensure the highest level of security.
Do you offer RV, boat, car and motorcycle parking?
Many of our storage facilities offer outdoor and indoor parking for RVs, boats, cars and motorcycles, but this is not a standard feature at all locations. Once you have identified a specific location, contact the manager for more information.
What is a storage unit with drive-up access?
A drive-up storage unit is an outside space located on the first floor of a facility that gives you the ability to load and unload your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck.
What’s the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The office hours are the hours of operation for the specific property. During these hours, the store manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs, and he or she can also sell you moving and packing supplies. The gate hours are the hours of which your storage unit can be accessed. If you require access outside of our standard gate hours, ask your store manager for information about 24-hour access.
How far in advance can I book a reservation?
Total Storage Solutions gives you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 30 days in advance so that you have sufficient time to plan ahead.
What is the difference between an indoor storage unit and an outdoor storage unit?
An outdoor storage unit is accessed from outside. An indoor storage unit is within the building and will require you to go inside to access your unit.
What kind of security do you have?
We take great pride in protecting your belongings and strive to provide state-of-the-art security. Most of our storage facilities feature electronic gates with coded access, monitored video surveillance, fenced and well-lit perimeters, individual door alarms, and personal locks available for purchase.
What are your payment terms? Do you accept credit cards or online bill payments?
We want to make your storage experience convenient and hassle-free, including when it’s time to pay your rent. Typically, our leases are month-to-month but we also offer long-term rental agreements. We can automatically charge your Mastercard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express® card each month, or you can use our online payment option.
